CLEAN

Heart Prep

Pray and seek God’s guidance in your friendships and relationships.
Ask Him to give you wisdom to see the effects bad company has on your inner self.
Pray that He would give you the strength to walk away when it is time to walk away.

Psalm 51:10 "Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me."

Matthew 21:12-14  “’And Jesus entered the temple and drove out all those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves. And He said to them, "It is written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer’; but you are making it a robbers' den.” And the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them.’”

Think of your heart as the temple of God (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Is your heart full of things that aren’t pleasing to God, hidden things, jealousy, envy, bitterness, uncleanness, hatred, idolatry, anger, resentment, greed, drunkenness, earthly pleasures or things in general that don’t bring you closer to Him? He sees those things. He sees how they’re destroying your heart and life. He also knows your thoughts, every single one of them. He has a desire to clean out your heart and mind just as He cleaned out the earthly temple mentioned above. But, in order for Him to do that, you have to let Him in. Your heart is like a temple with many rooms. If you want God to come in and help you clean it up, you must invite Him in. He won’t come in uninvited. He’s a gentleman. Have you been wanting to get clean and start new, get rid of whatever you’re struggling with, but you haven’t known how? Invite Him in to start cleaning, room by room. You can’t do it on your own. He is the only One who can truly cleanse your heart and life. He will help you clean out your heart and replace all of the filth and unmentionable imaginations with thoughts that are clean and uplifting; thoughts that can be shouted from the rooftops and not hidden away (Philippians 4:8).  After Jesus cleaned up the temple, the blind and lame came to Him and He healed them. Beforehand, the temple didn’t have room for people to come to Jesus. After He cleaned it out, there was room for the good stuff, the things that pleased the Father. Allow Jesus access to the deep rooms of your heart and let Him begin His work. All He is waiting for is an invitation.
