Pour Your Heart Out
Heart Prep
God, help me to trust You enough to pour out my heart to You.
Thank You for loving me no matter what is happening in my life.
Psalm 62:8 “Trust in Him at all times, O people;
Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.”
Do you ever feel like your concern, whatever it may be, is too big or too little for God to handle? I do. There are times when I’m upset over something, and I can call my best friend and vent about it, but I don’t pray about it. I don’t pray about it, because it doesn’t seem right to pray about it. It may seem silly, but I feel like God has much bigger things to worry about than my little issues. Or sometimes, I’m just mad at God. I’m disappointed things didn’t turn out the way I wanted them to, but I don’t want to tell Him I’m mad at Him. Really, I have no right to be upset with Him; not after all He’s blessed me with. But still, sometimes, I’m disappointed and upset, and I don’t tell Him because it just feels wrong. The only thing that’s wrong in any of those situations is my heart.
God tells us in Psalm 62 to pour out our hearts to Him. Satan is the father of lies, and he wants us to believe that all those thoughts and feelings I mentioned above are true. He tells us our problems are too small; our emotions are wrong and God will be mad at us; God doesn’t care about us. He feeds us those lies because he wants us to forget that God is a refuge for us. He wants us to stay far away from God because he knows we get POWER from the Almighty God. So, sweet girl, pour out your heart to our wonderful Heavenly Father. He wants you to trust Him at all times, with all things. Don’t listen to the enemy! Listen to your Father! He is waiting to hear from you and be a refuge for you, no matter what your problem is.
