Seasons
Heart Prep
Take this time to pray and ask God to help you understand the reason for seasons in life. Ask Him to help you find your comfort in Him during the season you are living in today.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 “There is an appointed time for everything.
And there is a time for every event under heaven. “
On most parts of the earth, we have four seasons: spring, winter, summer, fall. Different things are happening during each of them, so some of us like one more than the others. Winter can be cold and dreadful. Summer is mostly hot and stifling. Spring brings allergies of all sorts. Fall is when the plants die. These are all negative characteristics, but there are some positive ones as well. Although winter is cold, you can cuddle with your people. When summer is terribly hot, you can go swimming or just enjoy the sunshine. Spring brings allergies, but it also brings life back to the earth. And while fall is when most of the plants die, it is also when you experience the crispy mornings and brisk winds that cool you off from the summer heat, so welcome and refreshing! Each season has its good and bad points. Your attitude about each season depends on where your focus is.
Life also has seasons. You will have seasons of peace and rest, and seasons of struggles and trials. There will be times when you feel like you’re on top of the world, then times when you feel like you’re the gum on the bottom of someone’s shoe. When that happens, don’t worry. The gum eventually comes off. There is an appointed time for everything. If you’re in a season of sadness right now, hang in there, because joy will come just like the next season comes on the earth. The seasons that we go through make us grow. The earth wouldn’t be healthy if it didn’t have seasons. Balance is what is needed. The mild, warm seasons help plants to grow on the earth; the harsh seasons get rid of the earth’s impurities. In our lives, the hard seasons we go through help to rid us of impurities. Hang in there, because the next season is coming soon.
