Who Are You In the Kingdom of Heaven?

Heart Prep

Many times in Jesus’ teachings, He spoke about the Kingdom of Heaven.
Pray for a clear understanding about His Kingdom.

Colossians 1:13  “For He rescued us from the domain of darkness,
and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son.”

Consider an earthly kingdom: a monarchy, where one ruler owns the land, makes the rules, and provides a plan, a purpose, and protection for his people. You join this kingdom by birth, or by making a contract with the king, promising to serve him loyally in exchange for living with the benefits of the kingdom. He is a benevolent king, and the royal subjects serve as his ambassadors, representing him to those who do not
know him.

Consider the Kingdom of Heaven. There is One Monarch who created all things by the word of His mouth. He makes the rules and has freed His subjects from all sin that they might serve Him truly and in love. This kingdom feeds on the Bread of Life and drinks Living Water. The members of this Kingdom wear the Robe of Righteousness and the Crown of Victory, given to them personally by the King.

At one time, really, there was a kingdom with beautiful gardens. The people there walked and talked with their Creator every day. But they disobeyed the one rule He had given them, and were banned from the kingdom forever. The King set into place a plan whereby every person was given the opportunity to restore their relationship with the King. The King referred to this as being born again when He was questioned by a man named Nicodemus (John 3). You can be born again, into this Kingdom. He has provided the way (John 3:16; John 14:6). If you surrender your life to the Lord you will be a daughter of The King. One day you will live with the King. You can serve the King here on earth by representing Him to people in a kingdom of darkness, who can also become His daughters and sons by the same rebirth. Invite them to come!
