It's Yours!

Lord, please help me to learn from You. Let me hear what You have to say specifically to me. May Your Word change my life. Amen.

Hebrews 11:6 “And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.”

This is such a powerful verse! Without faith, it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God. We must believe in Him! Every other thing in this Christian walk will fall right into place, the way God has designed and desired IF we will place our faith in Him!

I have often looked at some of my Christian mentors and thought, "Why can't I be like her?!" I have watched her lead people to the Lord, pray with people, speak wisdom into people's lives….  I have looked in awe at the work of the Lord in her, really hungering for that in my own life. Can you identify? Then, the doubt creeps in, bringing those negative thoughts of weakness, pity, and self-loathing. For some reason, I don't BELIEVE I could be used like she is being used, but why not?

The Bible clearly says that to please God we must believe in Him and the fact that He rewards His children. How much am I missing because my faith is shaky?  How much could God really do with me if I would muster the simple faith to believe Him? The same power, the same Holy Spirit I see in her dwells in me, and in you! We have to stop waiting on someone to speak into our life because God has already spoken! We have to stop wishing we could be someone else. If we want to please God and be rewarded by being used by Him, we have to BELIEVE--that He is God and what He has said He will do. Believe when you pray, and you shall have what you ask for, says Mark 11:24. Ask Him to use you! And be assured that you are perfectly designed to accomplish the task He gives you, with His help and direction. And don’t be surprised if it is something you really enjoy doing.
