Lord of My Life

Heart Prep

I know You love me, God. I know You have saved me, but help me remember that
You are not just my Savior but also the Lord of my life.
Help me live every day with You as Lord.

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

Today, Jesus wants you. That’s it. He doesn’t want you plus your talents, your good qualities, or your best appearance. He simply wants you. God wants you to be more and more like Jesus, and trusting in Him allows Him to mold you and remake you. God can do amazing things with your life, but you have to let Him in first. He will not barge in. He is simply waiting on you to let Him in. Trusting in God allows Him to be Lord of your life. Trusting in Him means letting Him guide you in all you do. Trusting in Him means listening to His Word and obeying what He says. Trusting in Him is a moment-by-moment decision that you must make.

If you truly trust in God to lead you and guide you, if you trust that God has your best interests in mind, and if you trust that God loves you more than anyone else ever could, then you are acknowledging Him as Lord. You are giving your life over to Christ, and as the verse we read today says, He will bless that. He will make your paths straight. That does not mean that life will be easy going and that you will have no troubles, but trusting in God will allow you to find peace and joy even in the midst of the hardships. Trust in Him today. Let Him know your struggles and requests. Acknowledge Him as Lord and find peace in Him.
