Ruth 1:22 “So Naomi returned, and with her Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter-in-law, who returned from the land of Moab. And they came to Bethlehem at the beginning of barley harvest.”

The story of Ruth, in the Bible, is so inspiring to me. She was a Moabite woman who married a son of a woman named Naomi, from the land of Israel. Naomi, her husband and two sons lived in Moab for ten years. Then her husband passed away and she had only her two sons and their wives, Ruth and Orpah. When both of her sons died, she decided to go back to her own country and her own town of Bethlehem. Ruth was faithful to her mother-in-law and chose to go with her and to serve her God. I hope you’ll read the book of Ruth to hear the rest of the story. Eventually, Ruth met and married the dude of all of our dreams, Boaz. He was one rockin’ awesome guy: kind, godly, compassionate, caring, manly, hardworking. Basically, he was AWESOME.

God used everything that happened to Ruth for her good. She met a godly woman, married her son, lived life with them, lost her husband, and then she and Naomi went back to Bethlehem at the beginning of barley harvest. Now everything was in place for Boaz and Ruth to meet. God perfectly planned and oversaw it all: the time and place of their meeting, the condition of their hearts, and the relationship of Boaz to Naomi. God timed every event in their lives to the moment. God’s timing is perfect, and we need to wait, like Ruth did, for God’s time and plan for us. She was living her life and being faithful on regular days. Trust Him! He knows who you are to meet and when. You don’t have to plan ANY of it out. He will guide you to date when it’s the right time and the right guy.
